Every Cables and Lace product begins with carefully chosen materials and a purpose.
I select cotton fabrics and yarns with comfort, durability and easy care in mind. Beautiful colours and prints matter, but so does how a finished product feels, washes and holds up to everyday use.
All fabrics are prewashed before cutting and sewing to minimize shrinkage. My goal is to create practical, handmade pieces that can be loved, washed and used again and again.
Made by Hand, With Purpose
Every Cables and Lace piece is made by hand, one step at a time, with attention to the little details that make a difference.
For my sewn products, patterns and fabrics are cut by hand before being carefully stitched and finished. My knitted pieces are created stitch by stitch, using traditional techniques and timeless designs.
I work in small batches, sometimes creating one-of-a-kind pieces. Comfort, practicality and durability guide my designs, with thoughtful details like generous sizing to allow little ones more time to grow into and enjoy their clothing.
I believe handmade should be beautiful, useful and made to last. Each piece reflects decades of experience and a genuine love of creating things that will become part of everyday life.

I believe in making the most of every piece of fabric.
When cutting my cotton flannel, I plan carefully to minimize waste. A larger piece becomes a receiving blanket, smaller pieces become feeding bibs or bandana drool bibs, and the remaining fabric can become baby washcloths, bunny ear teethers or pacifier clips.
It's a thoughtful approach that helps me reduce waste while creating more useful, affordable handmade products.
