How did I end up here?
Hello and welcome to the 'about' page.
I am always curious about the people behind my favourite companies, so I'll try to keep things interesting! I have been knitting and sewing for over 45 years. Man that's a long time! It has always been the past time I turn to whenever I need to escape the craziness of life! I wish everyone could find a hobby that feels like time doesn't exist! That's what knitting and sewing are for me. I lose all concept of time, day, month... you get what I am saying.
Over all those years I have lived a life much like anyone else. I grew up. Got a job. Raised a child. And a couple years ago became a Granny!
Best day ever!
Now I can knit like a Granny while actually being one! Haha. Through every phase of my life, there was knitting and sewing! I love to create! I especially love to make things for babies and toddlers!
When life threw me a curve ball that ended my typical corporate-job life, I turned to my favourite hobby to keep me sane!
The Process...
Everything I offer is hand crafted by me. Every knit item is tested first. I make the same thing multiple times to catch glitches in patterns. I wash absolutely everything many times to make sure it will stand up to regular life and use. In fact, nothing leaves to go to its new home without being washed first!
With any sewn item, all fabrics are pre-washed. Since I use a lot of cotton or cotton blends, you can be assured there won't be shrinkage! I cut the patterns by hand. I cut the fabric by hand. I do use a sewing machine though, I like a polished look to what I make. You can expect only small batches and occasionally 1-of-a-kind items. I offer size ranges from 0-3 months to size 3. The fit of the wearables is generous to allow for longer use. I don't believe in 'fast fashion'. My style is often a more classic or traditional one, but I try to use current colour choices. I put love into everything I make so just know that a little piece of my heart is in ever sweater, dress, blanket and stuffed Bear!
My Support team...
On a personal note; I am happily married to man that never questions my 'need' to add to my yarn and fabric stash! He never fails to encourage me and in fact this website wouldn't exist without his gentle nudging to push me beyond my comfort zone.
My other constant companions are our 2 Aussiedoodles - Fergus and Francine. We've always had dogs but these siblings are the first ones we got as puppies. Fergus was a dream dog from day 1, just lovely! Fran couldn't be more opposite and has personality for days!! I always have to keep an eye on her, she'll steal socks and towels any chance she gets! She is THE most intense cuddler though.
And lastly, when I need a break from the 'making' life, I can always count on my daughter and granddaughter to take me out of myself and see the real reason for living! My family! No matter how busy I get, or how deep down the rabbit hole of choosing fabric or yarn I find myself...
my girls always bring me home.

I am Alberta born and raised. I lived in foster homes for several years before being adopted at age 4.
I love my protein, a big juicy steak especially!
I beleive bacon is the best salty food on the planet.
I like coffee over tea.
I'm not really into sweet stuff, but I do enjoy cake and donuts in moderation.
I like pineapple on my pizza but only with pepperoni.
While I'm knitting I usually have the tv on for company. I like a variety of shows, mostly British, but Science Fiction is my favourite. If my watch history could be chronicled, it would show an overabundance of Star Trek - there are over 830 hours of different series and movies to watch!
I enjoy a well written book, but I don't seem to make the time as often as I should.
My Human design type is Generator and I'm an Eannagram 6.
My favourite colour is purple.
I would like to learn to play an instrument - piano or guitar. There is still time.
I am working on writing children's books. I'll finish them one day.
